Overview
Operations Manager role at Elevated Facility Services, part of APi Group. Responsibilities- Supervise Route and Repair Technicians, provide direction and training, and communicate company policies, procedures, and objectives
- Administer the company safety program, perform safety audits as needed, and emphasize safety to all employees
- Visit job sites to perform quality audits, ensuring route work is completed efficiently and cost-effectively
- Identify issues that could affect the overall reliability of customer equipment
- Use company financial reporting to review route performance and callbacks; make changes to improve profitability
- Provide technical input to sales on scope of work and materials needed to bid repair work, including labor and material costs
- Enforce the Cancellation Reduction Program
- Collaborate with the branch manager and service sales managers to address customer needs
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local elevator industry code requirements
- Stay familiar with industry products by reviewing equipment updates and supplier goods
- Administer parts program for contract service and repair to meet budget expectations and customer satisfaction
- Manage the elevator repair process to ensure repairs are completed efficiently and cost-effectively
- Other duties assigned by the Branch Manager
- Thorough knowledge of the elevator industry and general management methods within the elevator industry
- Bachelor's degree (or substantial management/industry experience) or two years' experience managing a branch department; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and manage multiple variables
