Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN with both scrub and circulate experience for a Pediatric Operating Room position requiring a WV or compact RN license.
Responsibilities- Work in a 30-bed Pediatric Operating Room unit caring for patients from newborn to 17 years old
- Day shifts with 5x8-hour schedule from 6:45 to 15:15
- Weekday and weekend on-call duties with a rotating, self-scheduled call schedule
- No floating required outside the assigned unit
- EMR systems used include Cerner, Accudose, and SBAR
- Provide circulating and scrub nursing care in pediatric surgical procedures
- Experience with robotic surgery is highly valued
- Work in a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center and Level IV NICU at a major teaching hospital
- Bright blue scrubs are required for this position
- Free parking is available for travelers
- Flu vaccination is required during flu season unless medically exempt
- Former permanent employees must wait two years after last day worked before returning as a traveler
- RTO requests will be considered with no specific restrictions
- Active WV or Compact RN license required prior to start (pending license accepted for consideration)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Scrub and circulate experience in the operating room is required
- Experience in a pediatric and women’s specialty setting required
- Travel experience preferred
- IV start skills preferred
- No first-time travelers will be considered
- Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility
