American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab RN for a 13-week day shift assignment requiring at least 2 years of RN experience with Cath Lab diagnostic, interventional, and structural procedure competency.
Requirements- Active WV or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with at least 1 year in Cath Lab diagnostic and interventional procedures including structural
- BLS and ACLS certifications required through AHA
- ARRT registration required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Pending WV license accepted for consideration but must be active in hand prior to assignment start
- RCIS certification not accepted as licensure for Cath Lab work in WV
- Two Manager or Charge Nurse references from within the past 2 years required
- Cath Lab unit in a short-term acute care hospital
- Day shift schedule, 4x10-hour shifts from 6:30am to 5:00pm
- Daily caseload per tech is 8-10 cases
- On-call required, rotating first and second call in 12-hour shifts
- On-call includes 2-3 weekday nights (7pm-6:30am) and approximately one weekend per 4-5 weeks (Friday 7pm through Monday 6:30am)
- 2-hour minimum call-back requirement
- No floating required outside of Cath Lab
- Uses Cerner charting system
- Scrubs provided
- Level IV Trauma Center and major teaching hospital, member of the Council of Teaching Hospitals and Health Systems (COTH)
- 838 staffed beds
- Free parking provided for travelers
- No RTO restrictions
- Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility, with 75-99 miles considered on a case-by-case basis for facility approval
- First-time travelers not accepted; prior Cath Lab travel experience required
- Former permanent employees must wait 2 years from their last date of employment before returning as a traveler
- Current employees of the Vandalia Health System (including CAMC Health Systems, Mon Health Systems, Davis Medical Center, Broaddus Hospital, Webster Memorial Hospital, Grafton City Hospital, Highland-Clarksburg Hospital, and Minnie Hamilton Health System) are not eligible for travel contracts within the system
