Job Opportunity – Medical Rehabilitation Registered Nurse – West Virginia

Start Date: October 29, 2026

Location: Charleston, West Virginia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 36 or 48 hours per week available; 3x12-hour or 4x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM); weekdays with every other weekend; minimal float requirements within scope

• 24-bed medical rehabilitation unit specializing in cerebrovascular disease, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injuries, amputations, and neurological diseases
• Interdisciplinary care model with collaborative team approach including physiatrist, nurse practitioner, therapists, and social workers
• Night shift ratios of 1:5-1:6 providing quality patient-centered care with average length of stay around 2 weeks
• Cerner electronic medical records system in a Level 1 Trauma Center and major teaching hospital with 855 staffed beds
• Flexible block scheduling available upon discussion; no call requirement; time-off requests accommodated
• Orientation provided every other Thursday with comprehensive onboarding support

• Active West Virginia or Compact RN License (pending license accepted for submission; must be active prior to start)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Minimum 1 year of in-specialty rehabilitation or related acute care experience required
• BLS certification through American Heart Association required
• Acute care rehabilitation experience strongly preferred; charge nurse experience preferred
• Two manager or charge nurse references from within the past 2 years required
• Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility location
• Flu vaccination required during flu season (October 1 - March 31) unless documented medical exemption provided
