Job Opportunity – Operating Room RN (Pediatric OR) – West Virginia

Start Date: November 12, 2026

Location: Charleston, West Virginia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Flexible 5x8 ) or 4x10 ) shifts with 40 guaranteed hours per week. Call requirement of 6-8 shifts per month with self-scheduling, including some weeknights and weekends on a rotating basis.

Highlights:

• 30-bed Operating Room unit exclusively serving pediatric patients from newborn to 17 years of age at a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center
• Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and major teaching hospital affiliated with the Council of Teaching Hospitals and Health Systems (COTH)
• Both scrub and circulate responsibilities; robotic surgical experience highly valued, particularly in women's and pediatric specialties
• Cerner charting system with Accudose medication management and SBAR communication protocols
• Free on-site parking for travelers with comprehensive orientation and interdisciplinary support services
• 13-week assignment with reasonable time-off requests considered when balanced with additional coverage

Requirements:

• Active West Virginia RN license or Compact state license (pending WV license accepted for submission, must be active by start date)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with at least 2 years of Operating Room experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required – first-time travelers cannot be considered
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Both scrub and circulate experience in Operating Room settings required
• Pediatric general OR experience strongly preferred; women's specialty and robotic surgical experience highly valued
• IV start skills preferred
• Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility (permanent address requirement)
• Flu vaccination required during flu season (October 1 – March 31) unless medical exemption documentation provided by allergist or physician
• Minimum 2 manager or charge nurse references from the past 2 years required
