American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position at a Level IV Trauma Center teaching hospital, requiring 2 years RN experience and a WV or Compact license.

• 32-bed Med/Surg Tele unit caring for cardiac, vascular, surgical, pulmonary and telemetry patients
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekday schedule with every other weekend required
• Floating required within scope as needed
• Uses Cerner charting system
• Orientation held every other Thursday

• Active WV or Compact RN license required; pending license accepted for consideration
• Minimum 2 years RN experience required
• Minimum 1 year in-specialty experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required through the American Heart Association
• Minimum 2 Manager or Charge Nurse references from the past 2 years required
• First-time travelers accepted if experience requirements are met

• Level IV Trauma Center and major teaching hospital, member of the Council of Teaching Hospitals and Health Systems (COTH)
• 838 total staffed beds
• Scrub color requirement:
  Royal Blue/White for RNs
• Free parking for travelers
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 1 - March 31) unless medical exemption documented; not required outside this window
• COVID vaccine not required
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility; those between 75-100 miles may be considered case-by-case
• Former permanent employees must wait 2 years from last permanent employment date before returning as a traveler
• Current employees of the broader health system (including CAMC, Mon Health, Davis Medical Center, Broaddus Hospital, Webster Memorial Hospital, Grafton City Hospital, Highland-Clarksburg Hospital, and Minnie Hamilton Health System) are not eligible for travel contracts within the system
• RTO requests must be discussed with the manager during interview; blocked schedules cannot be guaranteed
