Aircraft Mechanic II – Electronics (CFT B002 WV)
Strategic Technology Institute Inc. (STi), a minority‑owned small disadvantaged business, is looking for an Aircraft Mechanic II – Electronics to perform intermediate (I) and depot (D) level maintenance on T‑56 engines, Quick Engine Change Kits, modules, assemblies, parts, and accessories for C‑130 aircraft in support of the Engine Regional Repair Center (ERRC) 130th MXG McLaughlin ANGB, Charleston, WV.

- Perform intermediate and depot maintenance on T‑56 engines and associated components for the C‑130 airframe.
- Carry out inspections, repairs, and modifications of aircraft structures, flight controls, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and electrical/electronic equipment.
- Use technical publications, technical orders, and engineering change proposals to diagnose problems and perform corrective actions.
- Test, troubleshoot, correct, and maintain electrical power control systems.
- Install and route wiring for new or existing electrical/electronic systems.
- Assist engine mechanics with bleed air duct routing and leak‑check capabilities.
- Prepare estimates of damage (ECOD) and support maintenance engineering changes (MEC).
- Lead teams through complex aircraft‑relevant tasks and enter records in aircraft logs.
- Maintain schedules on assigned projects and prioritize workload.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience as an aircraft electro‑environmental journeyman (Air Force Skill Level 5 equivalent).
- Broad knowledge of aircraft sheet‑metal/structural modifications and repair.
- Basic knowledge of electrical theory and proficiency with aircraft unique tools (torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers).
- Ability to interpret technical documentation such as blueprints or manufacturer’s manuals.
- Experience working with aircraft propulsion electrical/environmental systems.
- Leadership experience as a team lead on CFT or equivalent.
- Proficiency with flight‑control, hydraulic, pneumatic, and fuel‑system troubleshooting and repair.
Base: $35.18 per hour
Additional rate: Health and welfare allowance of $4.57 per hour; unused funds roll over into a 401(k).
