• Be visible, greet, engage, and assist customers actively.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand the Point of Sale (POS) system and handle various tenders like Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, Rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons, and checkout procedures per company policy.
• Adhere to company limits on cash shortages and overages, work honestly to control loss.
• Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay current with ads and promotions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Follow safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management.
• Inspect equipment regularly and report repairs needed.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions about products.
• Comply with all laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Work effectively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Manage conflicts cooperatively and reasonably.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance when needed.
• Support customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
