Come Play With Us at Sense Sational Learning Group!

We are looking for energetic and playful early childhood behavior support specialists.

We're a small, BCBA-owned company growing intentionally in Michigan communities. We're not a corporate machine churning through kiddos. We're neighbors, collaborators, and passionate humans who believe neurodivergent children don’t need to be “fixed”—they need to be understood, supported, and celebrated.

And we need you to help us do that.

Must-Haves
  • Available to work 15 - 40 hours/week. At least 3 nights required between 4:00-7:00pm (Monday‑Friday) — additional hours may be available, with potential to grow into full‑time!
  • Previous experience working with children (we need to know you can hang with the kiddos!)
  • Completed or willing to complete the 40‑hour RBT training before starting (We’ll help you become fully certified within your first 30 days and cover your exam and application fees!)
  • Enrolled in (or planning to enroll in) a college degree/certificate program in Child Development, Psychology, Education, Speech & Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, or related field
  • Reliable transportation to get to homes and community sites on time
  • Ability to be physically active: sitting and standing frequently, lifting up to 50 lbs., getting down on the floor, shifting positions quickly (kids move FAST!)
The Magic You Bring
  • A playful spirit – You’re not afraid to be silly, creative, and spontaneous
  • Genuine warmth – Kids and families feel safe with you immediately
  • Keen observation skills – You notice the small stuff that tells the big story
  • Cultural humility – You respect and honor diverse families and communities
  • Patience and flexibility – Because nothing ever goes exactly as planned (and that’s okay!)
  • Team player energy – You communicate clearly, ask questions, and share ideas
  • Tech comfort – You can navigate computers and tablets for data collection
  • Bonus points if you have:
    • Experience with neurodivergent kiddos (autism, ADHD, etc.)
    • Knowledge of behavior management strategies
    • Understanding of special education, IEPs, or care plans
    • Experience helping with activities of daily living (ADLs)
    • Teaching through play‑based activities
What Makes This Role Special

You won’t be running boring drills at a table. You’ll be:

  • Playing with purpose – Building towers, racing cars, creating art, exploring parks—all while teaching communication, social skills, and daily living skills that actually matter
  • Meeting kids where they are – In their homes, at schools, in the community (aka real life, where skills need to stick)
  • Being a detective – Observing, collecting data, and helping your BCBA team understand what each unique kiddo needs
  • Growing alongside your clients – Watching toddlers through teens gain confidence, make friends, and navigate their worlds more independently
  • Becoming part of something bigger – Collaborating with BCBAs, SLPs, OTs, and families who genuinely respect your insights and observations
Your Day‑to‑Day Adventures
  • Providing 1:1 support using naturalistic, play‑based ABA (no sad table drills here!)
  • Following skill development and behavior support plans created by our master's and doctoral level clinicians
  • Collecting meaningful data (frequency, duration, anecdotes) that helps us truly understand each child
  • Supporting social skills through modeling, prompting, and celebrating every small victory
  • Using positive reinforcement (because connection and joy are way more powerful than compliance)
  • Keeping everyone safe while having fun
  • Collaborating with your interdisciplinary team (BCBAs, SLPs, OTs) to provide seamless support
  • Building genuine relationships with families and keeping them in the loop
  • Getting regular coaching, feedback, and professional development from your BCBA supervisor
  • Growing your skills in child development, psychology, and behavioral science
Why Our Team Members Love Working Here Fair Compensation & Real Support
  • $18-22/hour (higher pay for…
