CNC Machinist | Charlotte, MI

Salary Range: $50,000 - $82,000 depending on experience

• Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, grinders).
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and G-code.
• Perform in-process quality checks using precision measuring instruments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues and machine malfunctions.
• Maintain machine tools and equipment through routine cleaning and lubrication.
• Adjust machine parameters to achieve specified dimensions and tolerances.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished parts.

• Experience operating and setting up CNC mills and/or lathes.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code.
• Demonstrated ability to use precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, bore gauges).
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles and their application for quality control.
• Ability to perform tool changes, offsets, and basic machine troubleshooting.

• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for fixture design, toolpath optimization, or simulation.
• Experience with advanced metrology equipment such as CMMs or optical comparators.
• Basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting skills beyond routine operations.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
