Senior Cost Accountant

Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Cost Accountant who thrives in complex, multi-location environments and brings both analytical precision and operational partnership to the table. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong technical cost accounting expertise with a collaborative, process‑improvement mindset. The successful candidate will be a trusted financial partner to operations and leadership, driving accuracy, insight, and profitability.

This role is onsite in Monroe, North Carolina.

• Lead month‑end inventory close, reconciliations, and reserve analysis for manufacturing operations
• Analyze inventory, labor, procurement, and scrap costs to support margin and profitability goals
• Partner with operations on forecasting, variance explanations, and cost traveler development
• Serve as the primary financial resource for inventory‑related reporting and analysis
• Drive continuous process improvements and support audits, physical inventories, and cycle counts
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3+ years of cost accounting and inventory experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience supporting multi‑site operations within a mid‑to‑large sized organization
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working within ERP systems
• Demonstrated stability in work history with sustained tenure at prior employers
