Job Overview - Accounts Payable Specialist - 33432

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing and processing payments owed by the organization to suppliers and other creditors. This role ensures that all invoices and expense reports are processed accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner, while maintaining strong vendor relationships and adhering to company policies.

* Invoice Processing:
Review, verify, and input invoices, matching them to purchase orders and receipts.

* Vendor Payments:
Process payments (checks, ACH, wires), ensure timely disbursements, and address vendor inquiries.

* Expense Reports:
Audit and process employee expense reports per company policies.

* Reconciliations:
Reconcile transactions, vendor statements, and resolve discrepancies.

Requirements

* Education:

* High school diploma or equivalent required;
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

* Experience:

* Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar role.

* Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, SAP, Oracle) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
