Senior Accountant (Contract to Hire)

Steven Douglas is partnering with a client in Charlotte in their search for a Senior Accountant. This is a contract to hire opportunity that will work in office on a hybrid basis.

$45.00/hr - $50.00/hr

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements in accordance to GAAP
• Assist with month-end/quarter-end/year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Support the consolidation of multiple entities
• Collaborate with multiple business units to ensure proper accounting
• Assist with implementing new systems, processes, and internal controls to improve efficiencies and accuracy
• Prepare schedules and documentation for audits and tax filings
• Partner with FP&A and operational teams to provide insights and support decision making

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of Accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing, retail, distribution or CPG industries
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls
• ERP system experience;
  Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with ability to manage multiple priorities
