Compensation: $22-$25/hr DOE
Job OverviewThe Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing and processing payments owed by the organization to suppliers and other creditors. This role ensures that all invoices and expense reports are processed accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner, while maintaining strong vendor relationships and adhering to company policies.
Responsibilities- Review, verify, and input invoices, matching them to purchase orders and receipts.
- Process payments (checks, ACH, wires), ensure timely disbursements, and address vendor inquiries.
- Audit and process employee expense reports per company policies.
- Reconcile transactions and vendor statements, resolving discrepancies.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required;
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. - Experience: Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar role.
- Technical skills: Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, SAP, Oracle) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Must be a full-time employee (30+ weekly hours or 130+ hours per month) to be eligible.
- Medical plan offered: BCBSNC Blue Options PPO; premiums pre‑taxed.
- Sherpa pays a portion of the employee-only premium for medical.
- 90‑day waiting period from date of hire.
