- This is a great opportunity to build or expand your experience within the commercial real estate industry, particularly if you’re interested in systems like Yardi and property accounting.

- Perform month-end close on a timely basis and prepare balance sheets, income statements, and general ledger detail for each property
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including escrows, and loan balances
- Review and analyze budget-to-actual and variance reports; provide commentary to management and property managers
- Ensure proper capitalization of improvements, leasing costs, and development costs
- Monitor and track real estate tax, insurance, and other recurring obligations
- Support year-end close, audit, and tax preparation, including coordination with outside CPAs and delivery of schedules and work papers
- Help maintain and improve accounting processes, internal controls, and documentation
- Prepare ad hoc analyses and reports for ownership and management
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment and take on additional duties as needs arise in a small company

- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including full-cycle accounting through financial statement preparation
