Sr. Accounting Manager

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accounting Manager to join a Charlotte, North Carolina team in a Contract position supporting critical accounting operations. This role is best suited for a hands-on leader who can guide a complex close process, intercompany work, oversee key accounting activities, and partner effectively with business stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. The position focuses primarily on accounting leadership with limited finance responsibilities and offers the opportunity to contribute to process enhancements while managing a hybrid team structure.

Responsibilities:
• Lead the monthly close cycle for the managed services business, ensuring timely and accurate reporting in a high-volume environment.
• Oversee accounting for revenue, accrued costs, billing activity, and intercompany transactions in alignment with company policies and reporting standards.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies to maintain the integrity of the general ledger.
• Supervise and support a small team that includes both onshore and offshore staff, providing guidance, feedback, and review of completed work.
• Partner with operational and business leaders to clarify accounting issues, communicate results, and follow up on outstanding items across time zones.
• Prepare and analyze financial information to support internal reporting requirements and audit readiness.
• Use ERP and spreadsheet tools to manage data, improve reporting accuracy, and navigate multiple accounting workflows effectively.
• Contribute to accounting process improvements, automation efforts, and system-related initiatives that strengthen efficiency and controls.
