Senior Accountant

Talent Bridge is partnering with a growing organization seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant to join its expanding corporate accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional with a strong background in Work in Process (WIP) accounting, project costing, and revenue recognition to play an important role in strengthening financial reporting and supporting continued organizational growth.

Working closely with accounting leadership, this individual will oversee key accounting activities, analyze project profitability, and help improve financial processes and controls. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving complex accounting issues.

• Prepare, maintain, and reconcile Work in Process (WIP) schedules, including project costs, billings, recognized revenue, and estimated costs to complete.
• Support percentage-of-completion accounting and revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP and ASC 606.
• Analyze project profitability, cost overruns, margin fluctuations, under billings, and over billings.
• Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.
• Review financial activity and collaborate with FP&A on variance analysis and financial reporting.
• Partner with operational and finance teams to investigate discrepancies and improve project-level financial visibility.
• Assist with external audits, including preparation of supporting documentation and responses to auditor inquiries.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, enhance reporting accuracy, and improve operational efficiency.
• Support accounting system enhancements, process improvements, and special projects as the organization continues to grow.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, including strong general ledger accounting and financial close responsibilities.
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Hands-on WIP accounting, project/job costing, and revenue recognition experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with percentage-of-completion accounting and ASC 606 highly desirable.
• Background in construction, contracting, installation, or other project-based industries preferred.
• Experience analyzing project margins, cost-to-complete estimates, contract assets and liabilities, and under billings/over billings is a plus.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with accounting or ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to communicate financial findings effectively.
• CPA designation or interest in pursuing certification is a plus.
