Accounting Manager - Manufacturing

Opto-Alignment Technology is seeking a talented, enthusiastic, and creative Accounting Manager to join our small but rapidly growing business in Charlotte, NC. We are highly recognized as a quality developer and supplier of state-of-the-art optical systems for precision optics alignment and surface form metrology. The successful candidate will work at our HQ with the President, Leadership Team and Inventory Manager. This is a hands‐on position, where the Accounting Manager will own day‐to‐day data entry, accounting and financial reporting using MS Dynamics Business Central solely.

This is not a Controller role — it’s a practical, working position with direct responsibility for the P&L and inventory accounting.

• Own monthly close and financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
• Manage inventory accounting, costing, and adjustments
• Maintain the general ledger in Microsoft Dynamics Business Central
• Oversee AP, AR, reconciliations, and payroll coordination
• Analyze margins, variances, and operating results
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow tracking
• Work closely with Leadership, Inventory Manager and Operations
• Coordinate with external CPA for taxes and year‐end close
• Improve accounting processes and documentation

• 6–8 years of accounting experience.
• Prior experience as Accounting Manager or Senior Accountant
• Advanced level of Microsoft Dynamics Business Central experience (required)
• Manufacturing accounting experience, including inventory
• Strong understanding of P&L ownership
• Experience in a small or family‑owned business environment
• Solid GAAP knowledge and hands‑on mindset
