Full Time (40 hours per week), Benefit Eligible. Monday - Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm. Works occasional weekends and evenings as needed to complete special projects.

Position SummaryThe Library Sr. Facilities Tech is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and performing the activities related to maintenance, repairs, and improvements to Library facilities and equipment. This position, under general supervision, is responsible for.
Essential Functions- Perform general maintenance tasks related to the operation of Library facilities.
- Install, maintain, and repair Library equipment such as appliances, book drops, book trucks, signage, and shelving.
- Manage and maintain parts and equipment inventories.
- Schedule repairs with vendors and provide oversight.
- Coordinate and perform the moving and storing of materials and furnishings involved in renovations and relocations.
- Participate in short‑term and long‑range planning for library projects.
- Serve as a liaison with contractors and outside agencies; negotiate and resolve issues.
- Assist with planning renovations and modifications of buildings and structures.
- Estimate time, materials, and costs for repair work.
- Maintain records and make reports as required for completed projects.
- Engage with online maintenance ticket software daily; prioritize and perform tasks as assigned and close tickets in a timely fashion; assign tickets to others as necessary.
- Communicate with Library staff and management regarding maintenance needs and problems.
- Make recommendations for routine renovation and building maintenance projects.
- Engage in safe working practices and comply with safety programs and guidelines; report and monitor unsafe working conditions.
- Designee as Facilities team lead in absence of Senior Manager - Facilities.
Experience:
Minimum of five years of relevant experience.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Requires a valid North Carolina or South Carolina Driver’s License. Requires County Driving Privileges.
