Reports to Head of Supply Chain
Your Tasks- Build and maintain a strong Purchasing Team by hiring new team members
- Training new hires
- Implementing and monitoring that new procedures are being followed
- Monitor team workload and support team members in their daily tasks
- Maintain comprehensive overview of all critical timeline projects to assist head of Supply chain - in prioritizing resources for execution and delivery
- Support team members during vendor conversations if necessary
- Follow and develop KPI goals and help team members achieve team and company goals
- Conduct performance reviews and assist in development plans for team members
- Generate and maintain various reports on specific business objectives
- Travel as needed to vendor sites
- Create and implement SOP’s and workflows
- Assist in preparation and monitoring of annual budget (travel, training, and equipment) for team
- Develop a strategic vendor base and manage supplier relationships
- Distribute purchasing information to involved parties including vendors, sales representatives and employees
- Ensure the team gathers, records and completes purchase data
- Negotiate contracts and long-term agreements with key suppliers
- Collaborate cross-functionally
- Support the company’s strategy and values
- Bachelor’s degree required in relevant field
- This position is onsite full time, willing to work overtime hours
- 5+ years of experience in purchasing or related field required
- 1+ years of supervisory experience required
- Available to travel domestic and international (10 – 25%)
- Experience with Microsoft Office and ERP systems, intermediate proficiency with Excel
- Experience in strategic vendor management and supplier relationships
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, knowledge of important purchasing KPI’s and other relevant data
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to read, interpret, and explain policies and procedures used in purchasing
