General Definition of WorkThe Title IX Investigator, under general supervision, performs complex work with limited decision-making discretion conducting prompt, thorough, and impartial investigations of allegations of sexual harassment, sex discrimination, and gender-based discrimination by students, employees, and third parties. Employee performs district-level work to carry-out Board of Education policies under the direction of the Executive Director of Title IX.

Place of WorkThe normal place of work is on the premises used by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. Charlotte
- Mecklenburg Schools reserves the right to require you to work at such other place(s) as it may reasonably require from time to time.
- Adhere to all state, federal, and local laws, policies, and procedures
- Act as a neutral third-party investigator to ensure prompt, thorough, and impartial investigation of all assigned cases
- Create comprehensive written investigative reports that clearly identify the issues investigated, relevant policy, and relevant evidence
- Document, collect, and maintain investigation files and evidence that supports investigative findings and results in the case management system
- Handle multiple cases simultaneously while prioritizing the most urgent needs
- Communicate with all involved parties in a timely manner
- Assist school administrators, as needed, on school based sexual harassment and sexual discrimination investigations
- Serve as a resource and provide guidance to school administrators regarding harassment and discrimination policies
- Participate in Title IX hearings
- Participate in professional development workshops and attend other meetings as required
- Complete local, state, or federal surveys and reports accurately and promptly
- Create an inclusive environment with positive communication/public relations
- Perform related work as assigned or required

Minimum Education al Requirements Bachelors
Term 12 Month
Education and Experience- Bachelor's degree in education administration or related field required
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in conducting investigations required
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Possess and maintain a valid driver's license or ability to provide own transportation
- Travel to school district buildings and professional meetings
