Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in Central Charlotte in finding a Full‑Time Nanny primarily for their daughter, who will be 21 months old at the start of the position. They are expecting a newborn boy in December, who, after a few months old, will need care as well. This position is Wednesday – Friday, approximately from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm, 20 hours a week.
The nanny should be able to flex with parental needs and be open to providing childcare for date nights occasionally. The best nanny for this family would be nurturing, bubbly, comforting, and experienced in caring for toddlers and infants. The nanny will primarily care for the family’s toddler daughter, meeting and exceeding her daily needs while fostering a warm, engaging, and child‑led educational environment.
The family values active and attentive play, emphasizing holistic and Montessori‑inspired principles that include the use of wooden toys and the encouragement of independent play. The ideal candidate will provide hands‑on learning opportunities and help the child develop essential life skills, such as using utensils, while setting gentle, age‑appropriate boundaries. The family does not believe in screen time and requests that the nanny refrain from using any screens during the day.
The nanny should enjoy spending time both indoors and outdoors, engaging in creative play, and exploring outings to places like the playground, Discovery Place, the library, and story time. The mom is a stay‑at‑home mom and will be available for the first 1.5–2 weeks to ensure a smooth transition period for their daughter. In the beginning, the mom will primarily care for the baby, while the nanny focuses on the toddler and assists with family‑related tasks such as running errands.
Over time, the role will expand to include care for both children. The home has a fenced‑in backyard for safe outdoor play, and the family is seeking someone trustworthy, loyal, smiley, bright, and genuinely happy and engaging in their demeanor.
