The Pipe Layer assembles, connects, and constructs pipe systems for storm and sanitary sewers, drains, and water mains. This role may involve various tasks, with responsibilities shifting as workflow dictates.

• Lay pipe for storm or sanitary sewer, drains, and water mains
• Configure pipe routes
• Align pipes in pipeline sections
• Set laser at the proper grade for task
• Ensure pipe is installed at the proper grade
• Assist heavy equipment operator in proper depth for pipe installation
• Ensure pipes are fitted and aligned properly to avoid leaks
• Ensure pipe is backfilled and chalked in properly
• Ensure trench has all proper safety equipment in place per OSHA regulations
• Maintain flexibility with schedule changes, location changes, and shift changes

• Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or carry 50+ lbs
• Preferred: 2+ years’ experience as a pipe layer
