We are seeking an experienced, detail‑oriented professional with a strong background in pre‑construction estimating, especially in sheet metal, to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will understand bid documents, Quick Pen, and other estimating software, develop RFIs, process RFQs, and produce accurate take‑offs for commercial construction projects.

• Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and related documents to create comprehensive cost estimates for sheet metal projects.
• Utilize Quick Pen and other estimating software to accurately estimate labor, material, and equipment costs.
• Prepare and submit competitive project bid proposals, ensuring all aspects of the project are accounted for and the bid is submitted in a timely manner.
• Develop and process RFIs and RFQs, coordinating with project managers, engineers, and vendors.
• Conduct pre‑construction take‑offs and create detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects.
• Collaborate with project teams to understand and manage client expectations, ensuring all estimates meet client needs and budget constraints.
• Keep up‑to‑date with industry trends, materials, and construction methods to ensure accurate and competitive estimates.
• Participate in bid negotiations, providing detailed breakdowns and justifications for cost estimates when required.

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Sheet Metal Estimator in the construction industry.
• Proficiency with estimating software such as Quick Pen.
• Extensive experience in pre‑construction estimating, focusing on sheet metal projects.
• Familiarity with bid documents, RFIs, RFQs, and related project documentation.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills, capable of creating accurate cost estimates.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with an ability to clearly explain and justify cost estimates.
• Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills, able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge ofIMAL industry trends, materials, and construction methods.
• A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
