Job Description & How to Apply Below
Position: Senior Social & Digital Media Manager (Sports)

Location:

Charlotte, NC (Frequent Travel Required)

Experience:

4–6 Years (Minimum)

Role Overview

Our sports talent management agency is seeking a Senior Social & Digital Media Manager who is a dual‑threat: a high‑level visual storyteller and a sophisticated brand strategist. This role is responsible for the digital identity of premier professional athletes in the NASCAR space.

We are not looking for a "coordinator" or just a photographer/videographer. Our firm needs more than just someone to manage social media accounts; we need a Social & Digital Media Manager who can build a comprehensive digital roadmap and then physically pick up the camera to execute the vision and wow us with their content.

The ideal candidate has spent the last 4–6 years mastering the balance between high‑end visual content production (photo/video) and the data‑driven strategy required to grow a brand’s digital footprint. You aren’t just "posting"—you are building a narrative, measuring its success, and pivoting based on results.

Strategic & Creative Responsibilities
  • Brand Ownership: Lead the development of comprehensive, multi‑platform digital strategies and content calendars for professional athletes that increase fan sentiment, follower growth, and sponsor ROI.
  • High‑End Content Production: Act as the primary "lens" for the athlete. You must be an expert at capturing, lighting, and framing professional‑grade photography and video in the fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment of the garage and pit road.
  • Narrative Caption Writing: Craft a distinct, authentic "voice" for each athlete. You must be able to write everything from witty, real‑time race updates to polished, high‑stakes sponsor activations.
  • Sponsor Integration: Proactively develop content posts or series that seamlessly integrate corporate partners, ensuring all "deliverables" are met with a creative flair that doesn't feel like a standard "ad."
  • Analytics & Performance ROI: Move beyond vanity metrics. Conduct deep‑dive analytics to identify what drives engagement and use those insights to pivot strategy weekly.
Reputation Management: Actively monitor the digital landscape, observing trends, managing tags and community engagement to protect and enhance the athlete’s public persona.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience: 4–6 years of professional digital media experience, specifically working with high‑profile personalities, professional sports teams/events/leagues, agencies or marquee brands.
  • Technical Mastery: Advanced proficiency in digital photography and videography (Mirrorless/DSLR systems).
  • The Suite: Expert‑level Adobe Creative Cloud skills (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and Lightroom are non‑negotiable).
  • Motion: Proficiency in After Effects or motion graphics is highly preferred to stand out in a crowded social feed.
  • Sports IQ: A deep understanding of the sports landscape (NASCAR knowledge is a significant plus, but not required). You must understand the nuances of race weekends and the "rhythm" of a long season.
  • The "Pro" Factor: Proven ability to interact professionally with athletes and celebrities. You must be comfortable working in high‑stress, "inner circle" environments.
  • Logistics: Flexibility to work a racing schedule (weekends) and travel frequently to events across the country.
What We Are Looking For in a Portfolio

We are looking for a portfolio that shows Process + Result. Please provide examples of:

  • Visuals: Video reels or photo galleries that show your "eye" for sports/action and mastery of software tools.
  • Strategy: A brief case study or explanation of how you grew a following or managed a specific campaign for a brand or personality.

Seniority level: Mid‑Senior level

Employment type: Full‑time

Job function: Marketing and Sales
