As part of ESPN NEXT, you’ll join a dynamic team producing must‑see content across ESPN’s shows, live events, digital/social, and audio platforms. Sports don’t sleep, and neither does the adrenaline of live production—whether you’re cutting highlights at dawn, gearing for primetime, capturing the game‑winner on a holiday, or spotting moments that go viral on social, you’ll be at the center of it.
Responsibilities- Support production and content creation for domestic and global sports properties.
- Consistently share creative and innovative ideas for ESPN’s multi‑platform storytelling.
- Edit video and audio elements and research content for a variety of shows and networks.
- Run audio board loading playlists, log commercials, sales, and promos for multi‑platform broadcasts.
- Coordinate graphics for assigned studio telecasts and/or remote live events.
- Produce highlights, teases, opens, and montages for shows, live events, and digital platforms.
- Assist with live events by gathering video and sponsorship elements for broadcasts.
- At least one year of experience in sports media, preferably television production or collegiate TV station involvement.
- Conversational knowledge of multiple sports, especially those heavily covered by ESPN (NBA/WNBA, NFL, NHL, MLB, college football, and basketball).
- Enthusiasm and passion for sports.
- Ability to prepare and contribute ideas confidently.
- Professional communication and organization skills.
- Ability to react quickly and remain composed under tight deadlines.
- Self‑starting attitude and team‑oriented work ethic.
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Experience in a live sports, news, or entertainment environment.
- Proficiency with video editing software (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, etc.).
- Awareness of ESPN content and platforms.
- Knowledge of media trends (social, digital, linear).
- Leadership experience in a professional, organizational, or extracurricular role.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
