** The Position:
** We are looking for a dynamic, experienced, and creative
** Producer**. Reporting to the
** Coordinating Producer,
** this position will lead pre-game and post-game studio productions for the
** Carolina Hurricanes**. This role combines editorial leadership, producing talent, hands-on production, and associate directing responsibilities to ensure that the pre-game and post-game shows deliver a best-in-class fan experience, align with the Hurricanes brand, and leverage Fan Duel Sports Network’s national production standards.
** This is a freelance position through a third-party and located in Charlotte, NC.
**** The Game Plan:**  (What you will do)
* Develop and execute the editorial vision for each pre-game and post-game show in alignment with FDSN and Carolina Hurricanes brand and voice.
* Produce and manage Talent by providing consistent feedback and direction.
* Lead the overall production of the pre/post-game studio show, including building show rundown and coordinating segments, graphics, live and recorded material.
* Collaborate with the Director to ensure smooth live execution, including shot calls, timing, transitions, cues, and talent coordination.
* Manage game day production logistics, including talent and staff schedules, coordination between studio and arena control-room operations, and remote truck (or mobile OB) interface.
* Build and supervise the game-specific content package, including features, interviews, highlights, player/team storylines, and statistical and analytics elements.
* Collaborate with the Hurricanes media/creative team and FDSN’s national production team on access, resources, content themes, and rights and logistics issues.
* Incorporate sponsor integrations, vetted branding and domestic partners, and ensure production meets commercial obligations.
* Manage post-game show wrap, including recap, reactions, player interviews, coach’s comments, fan and arena elements, and live and post-game digital and social-platform push.
* Supervise multi-camera switching, graphics insertion, video playback, remote feeds, and ensure the broadcast meets technical quality standards.
* Assist with budgeting and scheduling for the shows (travel, staffing, gear) in coordination with production leadership.
* Provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff and crew and assist with recruitment and training as needed..
** The Stats:**  (What to bring)
* Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Production, Journalism, Communications, or related field (or equivalent demonstrated experience accepted in lieu of a degree).
* 5+ years of live sports television production experience, including pre-game/post-game studio shows or live event broadcasts.
* Strong editorial sense and an ability to craft compelling storylines around players, team performance, analytics, and fan culture.
* Demonstrated experience in a live studio environment, including multi-camera production, live switching, graphics/CG integration, remote trucks or OB vans.
* Familiarity with hockey/NHL production (advantage) and comfort working within team media ecosystem.
* Excellent organizational skills, including an ability to manage multiple moving parts under tight deadlines…
