Location:

Charlotte, NC – Madison Park
Pay: 18.00– 22.00 per hour

Vaya Dental is seeking a dependable, motivated Dental Assistant I to join our Madison Park team. We’re looking for an experienced dental assistant who is confident in a general dentistry environment, comfortable using Open Dental, and committed to providing an excellent patient experience.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working as part of a collaborative dental team and takes pride in keeping the clinical day organized, efficient, and patient-focused.

What You’ll Do

Provide four-handed chairside assistance during general dentistry procedures

Assist with restorative procedures, oral surgery, and endodontic procedures as needed

Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient care

Take high-quality dental radiographs, including BWX, FMX, panoramic images, and Nomad images as applicable

Accurately chart existing restorations, missing teeth, treatment, and other clinical information in Open Dental

Follow OSHA, CDC, sterilization, and infection-control protocols

Assist with impressions, lab work, sealants, and other permitted clinical duties

Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked treatment rooms

Monitor and communicate clinical supply and inventory needs

Support efficient patient flow throughout the day

Provide patient education and post-operative instructions as appropriate

Work collaboratively with the doctor, fellow dental assistants, and administrative team

Contribute to a positive, supportive team culture

Qualifications

Previous dental assisting experience in a general dentistry setting

Current North Carolina dental assisting credentials/certifications applicable to the position

Current radiology/X-ray certification

Current CPR/BLS certification

Nitrous oxide certification/training as applicable

Knowledge of OSHA and CDC infection-control and sterilization standards

Strong chairside assisting skills

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Ability to anticipate the doctor's and team's needs and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Experience assisting with endodontic procedures is a plus

Schedule

Typical office hours:

Monday–Thursday: 7:45 AM–5:00 PM
Some Fridays: 7:45 AM–1:00 PM

18.00– 22.00 per hour , based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated competencies.
