A Landscape Architect assists in the planning, design, and development of outdoor spaces. They work under the supervision of experienced landscape architects to create functional and aesthetically pleasing environments.
Job DescriptionA Landscape Architect assists in the planning, design, and development of outdoor spaces. They work under the supervision of experienced landscape architects to create functional and aesthetically pleasing environments.
Responsibilities- Assist in preparing site plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed designs and plans.
- Conduct site analysis and environmental impact assessments.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, and engineers to understand project requirements.
- Select appropriate materials, such as plants and paving materials.
- Monitor project progress to ensure it adheres to design plans.
- Prepare and present reports and proposals to clients.
- Proficient skill and experience with AutoCAD
- Proficient skill and experience with Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
- Understanding of landscape architecture design and methods
- Attention to detail
- A team player that is committed to a collaborative design process
- Ability to work autonomously
- Ability to manage tasks and time to maintain project schedules
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture or Architecture
- 2+ years of hands‑on experience
Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience with federal, state, and local codes and permitting requirements
- Knowledge and experience assisting with assembling construction document packages
- Knowledge and experience using 3D modeling software (Sketch Up, Lumion, Rhino, etc.)
- Knowledge and experience using ArcGIS software
- Exceptional hand graphics and sketching ability
- Exceptional horticultural knowledge
Allow hybrid work after 6 months (up to 2 days a week) during the learning period. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with flexibility. The company offers a structured profit-sharing system, including end-of-year reviews for profit sharing and discretionary bonuses based on time with the company
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Charlotte, NC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
