Enrollment Specialist
The Enrollment Specialist is the first point of contact for student inquiries for the School of Professional Studies. The role involves recruiting prospective students, following up with existing students for all online academic programs, and guiding students through the application and enrollment process via telephone, email, and text.
Key Responsibilities- Answer phone and walk‑in inquiries and maintain prompt contact with prospective students.
- Recruit prospective students and follow up with existing students for all online programs.
- Provide program consultation through telephone, email, and texting, guiding students through information gathering and decision‑making for application and enrollment.
- Participate in recruitment and enrollment activities such as information sessions, program knowledge sessions, and one‑on‑one meetings with program management and enrollment leadership.
- Use the admissions and application CRM Slate and Salesforce to document and track prospective students, update enrollment statuses daily, and utilize dashboards for outreach strategy.
- Maintain accurate records, analyze enrollment trends, and ensure compliance with FERPA and institutional data policies.
- Assist with special projects, prospect research, recruiting events (both on‑site and off‑site), and onboarding of new teammates.
- Provide exceptional customer service and create a positive experience for students, staff, and stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent responsibilities and prioritize time‑sensitive student services and enrollment activities.
- Experience in call center, administrative office, or higher education recruiting is preferred.
- Experience with Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and data systems such as Salesforce or Destiny One.
- Demonstrated problem‑solving and initiative, with strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
- Recruiting experience, preferably in higher education.
- Experience leading cross‑functional teams and supporting program improvement efforts.
- Experience analyzing enrollment trends and recommending solutions.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with FERPA.
- Excellent multi‑tasking and organizational skills.
Permanent full‑time position (40 hours per week, 12 months per year). Standard schedule: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday with occasional evening or weekend hours as needed. Eligible for a hybrid work schedule after successful training and at the direction of leadership.
Location:
The Dubois Center, Charlotte, NC. Applicants must reside within 100 miles of campus at the position start date.
Salary range: $39,058 – $48,823 per year (average $42,890).
