Science Teacher (full-time)
The British International School of Charlotte is seeking a passionate, energetic and creative Science Teacher (Physics). By joining a Nord Anglia Education school as a Science teacher, you will be responsible for:

  • demonstrating and promoting a genuine love of learning
  • teaching pupils assigned to your classes within the school and carry out duties as required by the Senior Leadership Team (SLT),
  • ensuring that planning, preparation, recording, assessment, and reports meet the expectations of the school
  • demonstrating a proactive approach toward professional development

As a genuine team-player, you’ll work across our School to:

  • implement current best practices in each of the subject areas
  • support positive school culture by engaging with colleagues to think, create and reflect
  • contribute to the strategic development of the school.
  • maintain familiarity with key school policies, routines, and systems
Personal Specifications
  • Qualified teacher with a minimum of 2 years experience.
  • Hold a current Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure for all countries lived in
  • Compliance with visa requirements for working in the United States.

    You must have either a British or American passport or be authorized to work in the USA for any employer.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils, and a willingness to undertake appropriate child protection training when required.
  • The ability to integrate technology into the classroom experience to enhance and extend the learning of students
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of products.
  • Good cross-cultural, interpersonal and communication skills to interact with diverse nationalities and cultures.
  • Excellent analytical skills – with the passion and drive to demonstrate and quantify success.
  • Results orientated with the ability to consistently map efforts against identified KPIs.
  • Excellent time management skills and flexibility in dealing with multi-functional tasks.
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of science education as it relates to KS 3, 4 and 5.
  • Evidence of outstanding teaching
  • Evidence of active participation in professional development
  • Can demonstrate a commitment to developing all aspects of school life
