Ready to move from the hangar to the classroom? We’re looking for experienced A&P mechanics to train the next generation of aviation technicians in Charlotte, NC
. Position Purpose

Deliver engaging instruction in aircraft maintenance, helping students master theory and hands‑on skills. Maintain student records, evaluate performance, and collaborate with campus leadership to keep curriculum aligned with industry standards. Create a supportive, safety‑focused learning environment that prepares graduates for aviation careers.

Key Duties
  • Provide engaging and effective teaching in aircraft maintenance principles while developing curricula that aligns with industry standards.
  • Create a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and offers individualized support to enhance student success.
  • Oversee administrative responsibilities, including maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.
Job Responsibilities
  • Teach classes on a scheduled basis, creating an inclusive and welcoming environment that fosters student engagement and enhances learning in aircraft maintenance.
  • Collaborate with the Program Coordinator, Campus Director of Education, and Campus Executive Director to develop and refine curriculum, prepare course materials, and schedule classes, ensuring alignment with industry standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom and laboratory environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly maintained for student use.
  • Establish and maintain accurate academic and attendance records for each student, submitting attendance, grades, evaluations, and other documentation as required by institutional procedures.
  • Proactively notify the Supervisor of any current or potential issues that require immediate attention and implement proven retention techniques to support student success.
  • Complete assigned performance‑based teacher education modules, participating in classroom observations and instructor evaluations, and responding to student feedback to enhance instructional effectiveness.
  • Attend and/or lead in‑service training sessions, faculty meetings, and other mandatory gatherings to ensure ongoing professional development and collaboration with peers.
  • Assist in managing the inventory of department equipment and supplies, submitting replenishment requests to the Supervisor or appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Monitor student attendance closely, alerting the Supervisor to any absences, particularly at the first, third, and fifth occurrences, to address potential retention issues.
Required Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of hands‑on aircraft maintenance experience.

High School Diploma or GED.

Strong command of aircraft maintenance theory and practical application; commitment to staying current in the field.

Ability to succeed in fast‑paced, compliance‑driven educational setting.

Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to multitask.
