Responsibilities
  • Developing and/or updating course syllabus, preparing lectures, projects, or other student assignments.
  • Meet all designated class periods and maintain regularly scheduled office hours.
  • Grade student assignments and exams in a timely manner.
  • Submit completed mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations.
  • Teach temporary courses for the specified semester(s); these positions do not accrue benefits.
Qualifications
  • Faculty teaching undergraduate courses: doctorate or master’s degree in the teaching discipline or a master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the discipline.
  • Faculty teaching graduate courses: earned doctorate/terminal degree in the teaching discipline or a related discipline.
  • Consideration given to undergraduate and graduate degrees, related work experience in the field, professional licensure and certifications, honors and awards, and demonstrated teaching excellence.
  • Applicants must provide an official transcript of the highest earned degree.
  • Applicants must undergo a criminal background check.
