The Commercial Electrical Manager & Electrical Qualifier will be responsible for overseeing and managing commercial electrical projects within the states of Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. This role combines leadership, technical expertise, and regulatory knowledge to ensure all electrical work is performed to the highest standards, meeting both client expectations and local codes. The individual in this position will serve as the an Electrical Qualifier, ensuring compliance with state electrical licensing and code requirements while managing teams and projects across a diverse region.
ResponsibilitiesElectrical Project Management:
Oversee and manage all aspects of commercial electrical projects in AL, GA, NC, SC, and TN, ensuring timely and successful completion.
Monitor project budgets, schedules, and resources, working with project managers to meet objectives.
Collaborate with design engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure projects meet specifications and comply with applicable electrical codes.
Perform on‑site inspections as needed to ensure the quality of work and adherence to safety standards.
Electrical Qualification & Compliance:
Act as the Electrical Qualifier for Renu, ensuring all electrical work meets state and local code requirements in each of the states served.
Maintain and manage electrical licensure in AL, GA, NC, SC, and TN, and ensure compliance with each state’s electrical regulations.
Serve as a point of contact for handling inspections, and addressing any regulatory compliance issues.
Stay up-to-date with changes in electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
Leadership & Team Development:
Provide leadership and guidance to electrical teams, including electricians, foremen, and apprentices.
Foster a collaborative and safe work environment, ensuring all team members are properly trained and equipped to succeed.
Conduct performance evaluations and encourage career development for team members, ensuring high‑quality work and strong team morale.
Work with Sr. Director of Field Operations to establish and run an electrical apprentice program to feed labor into
Uphold Renu’s safety culture by implementing and maintaining strict adherence to safety policies and procedures.
Client & Stakeholder Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring effective communication and customer satisfaction throughout project life cycles.
Participate in project pre‑planning, providing electrical expertise during bid preparation and design phases.
Address client concerns and technical issues promptly and professionally to maintain strong business relationships.
Reporting & Documentation:
Ensure that all projects are properly documented, including electrical schematics, change orders, submittals, and inspection records.
Prepare and present project status updates and reports to senior management, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Maintain accurate records of licensing, permits, and compliance inspections for all projects.
Assist with other functions as assigned.
Qualifications- Valid State Electrical Contractor License
- 3 plus years of experience as a licensed electrician in a commercial setting
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Knowledge of electrical theory, systems, codes, and safety standards
