Position: Laboratory Technician - Semiconductor Testing (m/f/d)

Are you handy and passionate about electronics?

We are developing test equipment and provide testing services in the field of reliability (power cycling) testing for leading semiconductor manufacturers. To support our team we are looking for a laboratory technician who will support with the execution of semiconductor lifetime (Power Cycling) testing in our laboratory and with development, production and service of power cycling test benches.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Planning and execution of lifetime (power cycling) tests in the in-house laboratory:
    • Power Cycling tests: specimen registration, test assembly and electrical connection, test parameter set-up in coordination with customer, monitoring, dismantling test set-up, data evaluation, preparing test reports, invoicing
    • Support with quotation, planning and procuring the (electrical, mechanical and hydraulic) connection of test specimens to the test bench (in coordination with external suppliers and the internal mechanical department)
  • Planning and execution of the assembly of power cycling test benches:
    • Planning of test bench assembly and organisation of the procurement of components
    • Execution of test bench assembly and cabling, verification, calibration and commissioning of the test bench at alpitronic and at customer, documentation
  • Planning and implementation of after-sales support for Power Cycling test benches:
    • On-site support at international customers
    • Internal Power Cycling Laboratory support
  • Support in the development of test benches in cooperation with other development teams (electronic hardware incl. layout, mechanical design etc.)
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
  • Conclusion of a technical secondary school or universal education with main focus on electronics or mechatronics (or equivalent)
  • Pluriennal experience in a technical position
  • Good skills with electronic measurement equipment
  • Good manual skills with a focus on assembly and repairs
  • Good understanding of electronic circuit diagrams and technical documentation in general
  • Good knowledge of MS Office programs
  • Sense of responsibility and organizational skills
  • Structured, clean and professional way of working
  • Communication skills
  • Flexibility and willingness to international travels (approx. 5 weeks/year)
