Instrumentation and Controls Engineer – Intermediate (Data Centers)

Jacobs is looking for an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to design and optimize control systems for data center and industrial facilities. You will be responsible for developing P&IDs, sizing valves, specifying instrumentation, and documenting and modelling design information while ensuring compliance with building codes and industry standards.

$69,500.00 – $95,500.00 per year

• Develop P&IDs and other design documentation for control systems.
• Size valves, specify instrumentation, and model design information.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and designers to deliver complete solutions.
• Assist with startup, coordinate work activities, and provide on‑site support during commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and industry standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Control Systems, or Electrical Engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience with instrumentation and control.
• Working knowledge of DDC, PLC, DCS, and other controls applications is preferred.
• Experience in data center projects.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
