ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for design, development, implementation and analysis of technical products and systems.
  • Supports Sales, Marketing, and Manufacturing departments through the initiation and implementation of continuous process improvements.
  • Recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures.
  • Coordinates the implementation of significant process modifications and the use of new raw materials.
  • Assures all process and/or raw material changes are validated before implementation.
  • Provides technical support to customers, in customer plants if needed, to troubleshoot and resolve problems associated with products plant wide as well as globally.
  • Performs engineering design evaluations.
  • May develop a range of products.
  • Exhibits a high level of visibility in the manufacturing areas and hands on approach.
  • Practices good project management and cost control.
  • Responsible for maintaining Quality Standards and requirements in all aspects and performance of the job function.
  • JOB SPECIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must - a minimum of a BS Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Must - a minimum of 2 years of industrial experience.
  • Must - ability to troubleshoot equipment and processes.
  • Must – knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures within the industrial manufacturing area.
  • Must - working knowledge of Excel, Word, SPC, Solidworks or other 3D modeling software.
  • Must - excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written, to effectively interface with all levels of Management, the global Aplix team, Vendors and Associates.
  • Must – willing and able to travel, when required.
  • Preferred - experience in current Quality Standard System.
  • Plus - experience with automation equipment including programmable controllers, web guide, tension control and vision equipment.
