Mint Engineers, PLLC Charlotte, NC area Full-time, hybrid
Salary: $70,000 – $80,000 per year
Mint Engineers, PLLC is looking for an entry-level engineer (EI) to join our Charlotte-area team.
THE WORK YOU WILL PERFORM:- Residential structural inspections of foundations, crawl spaces, floor and roof framing, and cracking and settlement
- Field measurements, floor elevation surveys, moisture readings and photo documentation
- Sizing beams, headers, joists, posts and footings for wall removals, repairs and additions
- Structural calculations, repair details and drawings
- Clear, well-organized inspection reports and photo logs
- Working with homeowners, contractors and our office team
- B.S. in Civil, Structural, Architectural or Construction Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- EI/EIT certification, or the ability to obtain it within six months
- 0 to 4 years of experience; residential or wood-frame experience is a plus
- Working knowledge of the IRC and basic wood, steel and concrete design
- Strong writing skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working in crawl spaces and attics and on ladders
- Valid driver's license and the ability to travel regionally in North Carolina and South Carolina, with occasional overnight trips
- A plus: ENERCALC or Forte, AutoCAD or Revit, Excel, Bluebeam and Word
- Salary of $70,000 to $80,000, based on experience
- Paid time off and paid holidays
- FE/PE exam fees and continuing education paid
- Hybrid schedule: field days plus remote report days
- Ownership of your projects from site visit to final report
- Room to grow with a firm that is expanding into South Carolina and Florida
