Primary Talent Partners has an exciting opportunity for Discipline Engineers with Transmission Line experience in Charlotte!

Logistics:
Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid - 3 days in office/field, 2 days remote)
Duration: 1+ Year Contract | Full-Time (40 hours/week)
Pay Rate: $70/hr - $90/hr (based on experience)
Client Industry: Utility / Energy

Position Overview:

Primary Talent Partners is seeking two experienced Discipline Engineers to support transmission line design projects in the Carolinas West region. This hybrid role requires in-depth knowledge of transmission line engineering principles and the ability to work independently on complex engineering tasks.

You will lead the planning, analysis, and design of transmission lines, provide technical guidance, and contribute to the successful execution of high-impact projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide engineering expertise and leadership for transmission line design projects.
Perform advanced design calculations and evaluate scenarios in compliance with engineering standards and codes.
Support routing, siting, and structural design of transmission structures and foundations.
Prepare detailed technical documentation, reports, calculations, and drawings.
Coordinate and manage multiple design projects with minimal supervision.
Conduct engineering studies and recommend improvements to design processes and standards.
Mentor and guide junior engineers and technical staff.
Collaborate effectively with stakeholders from various backgrounds.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (ABET-accredited program).
10+ years of relevant work experience in engineering.
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in transmission line engineering.
***** Professional Engineer (PE) license is required
Proficiency in transmission design software including:
- PLS-CADD
- PLS-TOWER
- PLS-Pole
- Foundation design software
Strong foundation in engineering theories and problem-solving.
Solid understanding of project management principles.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in the utility/energy industry preferred.
