Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Associate to work closely with the VP of Tax and Head of Tax in federal, state/local, and international tax compliance oversight.
Responsibilities- Assist the VP of Tax and Head of Tax with federal, state/local, and international tax compliance oversight, providing tax consulting advice to business partners and working with deal teams to maximize tax efficiency of investment structures.
- Manage a junior tax member, providing oversight and guidance on reporting functions.
- Work closely with junior and senior members of the Finance/Accounting team.
- Correspond with federal and state tax regulators.
- Track and mail all federal and state/local tax filings.
- Review quarterly tax provision calculations prepared by external vendors.
- Review tax waterfall (carried interest) models and related tax distributions in accordance with applicable legal terms.
- Oversee and coordinate tax compliance services from third‑party tax service providers.
- Keep investor relations informed of tax reporting timing for the firm’s investors and respond to investor tax inquiries.
- Assist with the investment management company’s tax reporting obligations.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- 4+ years of public or private investment taxation experience.
- CPA preferred.
- Experience with Mutual Fund/RIC compliance strongly preferred; BDC experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of private credit and traditional private equity fund taxation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Highly organized and detail‑oriented with a big‑picture perspective.
- Ability to collaborate across the firm and work independently.
- Proactive drive to identify improvement areas and provide practical solutions.

Salary & CompensationBase salary: $110,000 – $130,000 per year (range may vary based on experience and location). Potential participation in incentive programs.
