Analyst I – Asset‑Backed Finance
Citizens Bank is seeking a highly motivated and detail‑oriented Analyst level candidate to join its Corporate Credit Securitization Lending (“CCSL”) team within Portfolio Management. The CCSL team is responsible for sourcing, underwriting, and managing loan commitments to investment funds managed by middle market leveraged loan managers and secured by portfolios of middle market loans. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our Portfolio Management processes.

Charlotte.
- Reviewing monthly borrowing base files and underlying collateral documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Communicating directly with colleagues and clients to resolve material issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Verifying quarterly reporting metrics submitted by clients and calculating key financial ratios for approval requests.
- Analyzing and organizing client files from external sources, ensuring completeness and proper record‑keeping and maintaining process integrity by updating internal ticklers.
- Reviewing database entries and confirming accuracy of monthly data uploads and being proactive with communication and remediation.
- Underwriting and analytical support for annual reviews, amendments, and asset approval requests.
- Exposure to deal teams and credit decision‑making processes.
- Opportunities to contribute to portfolio analysis, risk assessments, reporting, and other strategic initiatives.
- Equivalent work experience or completion of formal credit training program and 1‑2 years of applied financial analysis working with straight‑forward to moderately complex credits in a commercial banking environment, leveraged finance, and/or securitization (CLO).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, most importantly Excel, and Credit Research Tools. Experience with Tableau, Salesforce, Alteryx strongly preferred.
- Must have excellent verbal, written communication and organizational skills which are central to the role.
- Must be able to effectively prioritize, multi‑task, and work within tight deadlines.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent work experience.
