Business Tax Associate – Mc Guire Woods LLP
The Charlotte office of Mc Guire Woods seeks an Associate to join its Business Tax Group. Our transactional tax lawyers structure transactions to reduce tax liabilities and ensure compliance with evolving tax laws. We advise on tax issues in sophisticated financial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, buyouts, restructurings, innovative leasing, financings, real estate, joint ventures, fund formation, and inbound and outbound international investments.
The firm handles debt instruments, swap transactions, and other debt and equity derivatives and assists clients in identifying and leveraging tax credits and incentives to maximize available benefits.

Job Requirements- At least 2 years of experience as a tax associate in a law firm.
- Ability to work in a high‑paced environment with multiple ongoing transactions.
- Experience advising on sophisticated transactions, such as taxable and tax‑free mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, tax credits, fund formations and inbound/outbound international investments.
- Excellent academic credentials, including an LL.M. in taxation.
