OverviewWe are seeking a Captive Insurance Consultant (Manager) focused on captive insurance tax engagements. You will work with dedicated professionals in the insurance industry on feasibility studies, utilization projects, and tax consulting memos.
YourKey Responsibilities
- Oversee preparation and delivery of captive insurance feasibility studies and utilization projects.
- Develop captive insurance tax consulting memos and tax opinions.
- Manage and nurture client relationships, staffing, and engagement economics.
- Analyze engagement results to consistently deliver exceptional client service.
- Bachelor’s Degree
- CPA or licensed Attorney
- Experience or knowledge of captive insurance companies
- 5-10 years in accounting or tax for insurance companies
- Understanding of GAAP / statutory accounting principles
- Basic understanding of ASC 740 / SSAP 101
- Experience preparing tax returns
- Experience in state and local taxation (e.g., compliance, apportionment)
- Self‑motivation, critical thinking, and a desire to build a professional network
- Ability to lead a team and identify new business opportunities
- Dependability and integrity
- Desire to learn new technical skills and collaborate within the team

- Comprehensive compensation and benefits package: base salary range $103,600 to $189,900 (US) with additional benefits such as medical, dental, pension, 401(k), and paid time off.
- Hybrid model: 40‑60% in‑person work for most external, client‑serving roles.
