Senior Financial Planning Associate

A growing, independent wealth management firm is seeking a Senior Financial Planning Associate to support high-net-worth client relationships and deliver comprehensive financial planning services. This role is ideal for candidates who want to work closely with advisors and clients, contribute meaningfully to strategic planning, and grow within a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth client interviews and gather financial data
  • Develop and present comprehensive financial plans (investment, tax, estate, retirement, compensation, insurance)
  • Support clients in implementing their financial plans
  • Participate in client meetings and provide planning insights
  • Review trading and investment allocation reports
  • Collaborate with client service teams and other internal departments
  • Conduct planning research and monitor tax law updates
  • Support onboarding and training of new team members
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in financial planning or related financial services
  • Series 65 or CFP® required (must be willing to drop other licenses if applicable)
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and client service skills
  • Detail-oriented and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Comfortable with hybrid work schedule
Preferred Tools & Experience
  • Financial planning software (eMoney, Tamarac, Holistiplan)
  • Familiarity with Schwab and Fidelity custodians
