POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting is responsible for leading a highly skilled team overseeing complex revenue accounting activities and related financial reporting. This role requires deep technical accounting expertise, strong people leadership, and the ability to manage a dynamic close environment while maintaining compliance with US GAAP and regulatory standards.

This position serves as a strategic partner across Accounting, Finance, and Operations, helping drive alignment, improve controls and processes, enhance SOX compliance, and support timely, accurate financial reporting. The Senior Manager will also play a key role in setting accounting policy, resolving complex technical matters, and partnering with senior leadership and external auditors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead, coach, and develop an accounting team responsible for the preparation, review, and analysis of revenue-related financial data
  • Direct month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, reporting, and variance analysis
  • Apply advanced accounting judgment to complex transactions, researching issues and determining appropriate GAAP treatment
  • Review and approve detailed financial analyses and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of reporting
  • Oversee internal controls and regulatory reporting requirements; manage SOX documentation and testing for assigned areas
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, business leaders, and operational teams to improve processes, systems, and reporting capabilities
  • Serve as a key contact for external auditors and senior leadership, addressing audit inquiries and explaining accounting conclusions
  • Lead special projects and cross-functional initiatives focused on efficiency, scalability, and business impact
  • Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision making
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop accounting professionals and future leaders within the organization
IDEAL BACKGROUND
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
  • CPA or active CPA candidate required
  • 6+ years of progressive accounting, finance, or tax experience (public accounting and/or industry)
  • 2+ years of people leadership and experience reviewing work of others
  • Proven ability to partner with senior leaders and influence cross-functional decisions
  • Strong command of US GAAP, revenue accounting, and internal controls (SOX experience strongly preferred)
  • Advanced Excel and MS Office skills; experience with analytics tools and process improvement initiatives a plus
