Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements-including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements-to ensure accuracy and alignment with applicable accounting standards.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Oversee monthly commissions calculations and related accruals, while supporting internal teams with inquiries.
- Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of sales and use tax obligations, including oversight of tax automation tools.
- Support merger and acquisition activities, including integration of acquired entities, alignment of accounting policies, and onboarding of processes and systems.
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies to facilitate audits and ensure compliance with all relevant requirements.
- Develop, improve, and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Monitor updates to GAAP and IFRS and ensure compliance with all applicable standards.
- Build effective partnerships with internal leaders and key stakeholders across the business.
- Provide analytical support, financial insights, and decision-making guidance for ad hoc projects and strategic initiatives.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts focused on efficiency, accuracy, and process enhancement.
- Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and financial materials for senior leadership and external stakeholders.
- 2-4 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a senior-level role.
- Strong understanding of core accounting and finance principles.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-changing environment.
- Experience with ERP systems
- Advanced proficiency with Excel and strong skills in PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong project management capabilities.
- High level of ownership, initiative, and commitment to delivering results.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly job-shop or project-based settings, preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- CPA or CMA preferred.
- Experience in public accounting highly valued.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and advanced analysis.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
