Staff Auditor – U.S. Bank – Charlotte, NC
Job DescriptionThe Corporate Audit Services Staff Auditor is primarily responsible for executing internal audit activities under the direction of the lead auditor or primary audit manager, including assisting in planning projects, developing risk‑based audit programs, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations. The role identifies gaps, informs solutions, and escalates risks to minimize losses from inadequate internal processes and errors.
The Staff Auditor serves as a functional liaison between the Line of Business and the Lines of Defense, identifying controls, performing control testing, and documenting work in conformance with internal audit policies and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Two to three years of applicable experience.
- This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.
- Thorough knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends that impact the assigned line of business.
- Thorough understanding of the business line’s operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controls.
- Thorough knowledge of Risk, Compliance, and Audit competencies.
- Strong process facilitation, project management, and analytical skills.
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages, including Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations.

Salary Range$71,400.00 – $84,000.00 (based on primary location).
