The Compliance Business Oversight Manager – Consumer Banking will provide compliance oversight, advisory support and effective challenge, and manage compliance risk for US Digital Banking. This position will also manage the engagement model for other areas of Compliance with business lines supported by Digital Banking.
This role will primarily focus on compliance matters impacting Consumer Banking, verifying business practices align with applicable federal and state regulatory requirements. The position requires strong regulatory knowledge, issue, control and change management expertise, writing skills, and the ability to partner with business leaders to identify risks, remediate gaps, and strengthen compliance controls.
- Serve as primary compliance support for assigned business lines, providing oversight and independent challenge on business activities and initiatives with regulatory impact.
- Maintain an engagement model to support other impacted areas of Compliance, including roles and responsibilities.
- Serve as the regulatory compliance subject matter expert for in scope laws, rules and regulations applicable to the business and provide related advice and challenge as required.
- Monitor business line activity via Issues management, monitoring, and testing activity.
- Participate in forums, committees, and regular meetings as required.
- Participate in change management efforts for material changes to the business and new business initiatives, performing review and challenge of inherent regulatory risks, mitigations and outlining conditions to launch; as well as presentation to executives for approval.
- Manage and track compliance-related issues, ensuring timely resolution and regulatory alignment.
- Lead regulatory change management from a Compliance perspective for new and updated state laws, ensuring effective business adoption and compliance.
- Monitor regulatory complaints, business reports, and key risk indicators to identify trends, gaps, and potential compliance risks.
- Review and validate first-line testing to ensure gaps are addressed and aligned with regulatory expectations.
- Support control mapping to ensure regulatory requirements are linked to effective business controls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen the compliance framework and reduce risk exposure.
