Willow Oak Partners is a boutique private equity firm based in Charlotte, NC, focusing on operationally intensive real estate. The Operations Analyst will support the co-founders and senior leadership team in the post-acquisition transition of newly acquired sites, site development projects, and the build-out and deployment of the firm’s in‑house point‑of‑sale system across the Portfolio.
POSITION DETAILS
Title: Operations Analyst
Location: Charlotte, NC (in office), with regular travel to portfolio sites in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia
Employment Type: Full-time
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supporting the post-acquisition transition of newly acquired sites, including on‑site assessment of equipment and property condition and the transfer of vendors, utilities, signage, and systems to the firm
- Maintaining transition checklists for each site and reporting status to senior leadership
- Planning and managing site development projects, including equipment installations, signage, extensive site improvements, and contractor work
- Sourcing vendor quotes, scheduling contractors, and verifying completed work
- Maintaining project timelines and budgets
- Supporting the development, testing, and deployment of the firm’s in‑house point‑of‑sale system across the Portfolio, including on‑site hardware installation, staff training, and troubleshooting
- Gathering feedback from site personnel to inform product improvements
- Supporting daily, weekly, and monthly operating reports in Microsoft Excel
- Managing vendor relationships and resolving service issues at portfolio sites
- Additional responsibilities as needed; the role requires flexibility and a willingness to take on a wide range of tasks

Required
- Undergraduate degree with a demonstrated track record of success; 0 to 2 years of work experience
- A bias for action and a desire to get things done quickly
- Strong problem‑solving ability and comfort operating without a defined playbook
- Responsiveness and reliability
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organization skills and proven attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Willingness to travel to portfolio sites across North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia, including occasional overnight travel, and comfort with hands‑on work in the field
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred
- Interest in technology and systems; experience with point‑of‑sale systems or hardware setup is a plus
- Experience in construction, facilities, field operations, or a small business environment
- Basic understanding of P&Ls and budgets
- A history of competitive success, such as participation in collegiate athletics or similar pursuits
