In this role you will be working with a partner credentialed in the Labor & Delivery Department after they have secured a donated placenta. You will process the donated placenta (aseptic tissue) back at our client's lab. On-the-job training is provided.
Placenta donation provides tissue-based products for wound coverings, post-surgery reduction of scarring, diabetic ulcers, sports medicine, ophthalmology, spine, and dental procedures.
Numerous backgrounds can be successful in this role. Some examples include a nursing background (CNA, LPN), Science graduates, tissue banking experience, or experience in a CLIA lab. What you must bring is a friendly and confident bedside manner along with a highly-motivated personality.
